Thought for the day: You cannot simultaneously train and lose weight.
I haven't been up to much this week because it has been too rainy. I did go to the mall in Salisbury MD on the day when it rained the worst though, and walked around and around until I got my 10,000 steps in. Ok, Salisbury is an hour and a half away, so walking in the mall was not the main reason I went, but hey it worked out! Plus I scored a new pair of Teva-style sandals.
I have gone totally blah in cooking. No inspiration whatsoever. This is mainly bad because when I am busy outside with yardwork, or walking, or whatever excuse I can come up with, then it gets too late to cook and you guessed it.. take out. No Good. Even though I did get a Strawberry Fields salad from Wendy's one of those nights. It was really yummy, but an hour later I was starving. I need to get back in the groove! I have been doing so well on losing weight, but I'm afraid that the sore foot and not cooking for myself will stop that in its tracks. However, my foot is feeling much better, and as long as I don't overdo it, I am back to be able to walk my 5k route in 1 hour 10 minutes. That's great, since my first 5k since I was a teenager is coming up next week! Shameless plug: I am still looking for sponsors for my team's entry fees!
I got some helpful tips for my DDP Yoga practice on a workout that I have been absolutely unable to do. I am going to try them out this afternoon and see how far I can get. I'll let you know how that goes.
